super flu

Influenza cases have increased with the emergence of a variant known as “Super Flu”, specifically Influenza A H3N2 subclade K. This variant has a high transmission rate and can cause more severe symptoms, especially in vulnerable groups.

Because the symptoms are often mistaken for seasonal flu, many patients receive treatment too late. Early detection and treatment are crucial to prevent serious complications.

What Is Super Flu (Influenza A H3N2)?

  • High transmission rate
  • More severe symptoms compared to regular flu
  • Increased risk of lung complications
  • Potential hospitalization for high‑risk groups

  • Hospitalization or ICU care in severe cases
